Effective Date: 1 February 2026
At CraicTee.store, I use cookies to make my shop work properly and to show you more of the stuff you actually like (and less of the stuff you don’t).
1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. They help us remember your cart, keep you logged in, and tell us which animal pun shirts are the most popular.
2. The Cookies I Use
I group my cookies into three categories:
- Essential Cookies: These are the “bare essentials.” Without them, you couldn’t add a shirt to your cart or pay for it. These are always active.
- Performance & Analytics: These tell us how people use the site (e.g., if everyone is clicking on the “Gargle Cow” but nobody is buying it, I know I need to fix something!).
- Marketing (Targeting) Cookies: I use the Facebook Pixel. This allows us to show you relevant ads on Instagram and Facebook based on what you’ve looked at on my site. If you look at a t-shirt today, this cookie helps it show up in your feed tomorrow, reminding you of the opportunities you’re missing.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are placed by third parties I trust:
- Stripe: To ensure your payment is secure and to prevent fraud.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram): To measure the effectiveness of my social media ads.
4. Your Choice
You don’t have to accept cookies. When you first visit CraicTee, you’ll see a banner asking for your permission. You can choose to:
- Accept All: For the best shopping experience.
- Reject Non-Essential: You can still buy shirts, but I won’t be able to show you personalized offers later.
You can also change your browser settings to block cookies entirely, but be warned: the shop might get a bit “glitchy” (like a pub with no beer).
